Terms & Conditions
1. Eligibility- The Shakti Design Residency is open to designers working in collectible design from anywhere in the world
- Applicants must be over 18 years of age at the time of application
- Applicants must be available to participate in a month-long residency in India between 1-30 November 2025.
- All applications must be submitted via the official form by 30 June 2025. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered
- Applications will be assessed by an international jury composed of leading designers, curators, gallerists and educators
- The jury’s decision is final
- Selected residents will be paired with an Indian atelier of the programme’s choice
- Travel to and from India, accommodation and basic per diems will be covered by the programme
- Selected residents will receive an honorarium of $1,500
- Participants are expected to engage fully in the residency, attend scheduled activities and respect the collaborative ethos of the programme
- Applicants retain full copyright of all submitted materials
- By applying, applicants grant Shakti Design Residency the right to use submitted text, images and project materials for jury review, programme documentation and promotional purposes (online, print and social media) with appropriate credit
- Final collaborative works may be exhibited, sold or published as part of Shakti’s ongoing programming under a contractually stated commercial arrangement, with credit shared between the programme, designer and atelier.
- Selected participants who are unable to commit to the full duration of the residency must inform the organisers as soon as possible
- Providing false or misleading information will result in disqualification at any point during the programme
6. Governing Law
- These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts
Privacy Policy
1. Data Collected- We collect personal data including your name, contact details, nationality, portfolio, CV and application responses
- Data is used for the purpose of administering and evaluating applications, facilitating jury review, communicating with applicants, and for selected residents, delivering the programme.
- Application data will be stored securely for a period of up to 24 months following the conclusion of the 2025 residency
- Data may be shared with jury members and internal team members for the purpose of selection and programme delivery
- No personal data will be sold or shared with unauthorised third parties.
- You may request access to your data, correct inaccuracies, or request deletion by contacting info@shaktidesignresidency.com
- You have the right to withdraw consent at any time, though this may affect your participation in the programme
- All data is stored in password-protected digital systems with access limited to authorised staff.
Media ConsentBy submitting an application to the Shakti Design Residency you:
- Consent to the use of submitted images and texts for the purposes of jury selection, programme promotion, and related press materials, with appropriate credit
- Understand that your name and images of your work may appear on the Shakti Design Residency website, social media, and associated press coverage
- May revoke this consent at any time by contacting info@shaktidesignresidency.com though this may limit opportunities for exposure and participation.
